But YL18 has been accepted to a highly specialized college program for stage management and theater (er..something somethingsomething) and needs a laptop that is suitable for the work she&#039;ll be doing.  That means that the outlay for us will be higher no matter what.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Thanks for the comment!  I&#039;m loving your blog, btw.</description>

		<description>Have you thought of a used Mac?  Or an iBook? Why does it have to be a new one?&lt;br/&gt;I&#039;ve been using macs since 1998.  They last longer than you think.  I use an iBook that is 2-3 years old.  Think about it. You can probably pick one up for $500.</description>
