Our Discussion Topic this morning was, of course, Mark. In celebration of Father’s Day, the question was “If money were no object, how would you spend one day with Mark. Now, with children you never really know what they’re going to say. I thought I’d share the small glimpse into our breakfast table with you.
YL12 said: I’d to skating with him.
YL10 said: We’d go driving around in the car and spend time together and talk ALL DAY.
YL15 said: We’d go to a War History Museum and then a baseball game.
YM10 said: We’d fly back to California and go visit all the places we used to go when we lived there, and go to the beach and then go to a football game.
Momma said: I’d wake him up with homemade breakfast and some alone time. Then, we’d drive to Fry’s Electronics where I’d say “You can have anything you want.” After that, we’d stop to eat at the BBQ place where Mark and I went for our first date (conveniently located down the street from Fry’s). We’d cap the day off with 50 yard line tickets to the Falcons game and then home for more alone time.
Mark said: I’d surprise all of you with a 7 day cruise. We’d all be able to relax and swim and play with dolphins and lie on the beach and just have a great time together.
They’re all very nice dreams.. well.. not sure how Mark really feels about spending a whole day at a skating rink with pre-teen girls but other than that, they’re all nice dreams! I think the best part is that on Father’s Day, we had 4 of the 6 children sitting at the breakfast table with their dad, building castles in the clouds about how they’d spend time with him, given their choice. It was a great start to the day.
