Last week, I swiped Alex Shalman’s Seven Questions That Will Change Your Life. I’m having a really tough time with my motivation, in the light of recent events, and so I think it’s important for me to keep up with this experiment a while.
1) What will I try to improve on next week? Actively reducing external stressors. I need to downgrade from Type A to a Type A- personality. (haha)
2) What was I most proud of this week? I was most proud of my children, so by default my awesome parenting! When faced with a barbeque of 40 people, 20 of whom were other children, the four that belonged to me were incredibly well behaved, charming, and just darned mannerly.
3) What was my biggest accomplishment this week? I survived it.
4) What have I done to get closer to my goals this week? I went to the gym yesterday morning at 5:00 AM. I did 30 minutes of strength training.
5) What was hard for me this week? And why? Deciding not to make the 8 hour drive “home” to my uncle’s funeral. My loyal side said that it was a requirement to be there with my family. My practical side said that my health wouldn’t allow me to make that trip without some serious consequences.
6) What was my biggest waste of time this week? Anger. I carried some serious anger around with me over things that were absolutely not worth the energy wasted. Must improve on this.
7) What did I do this week that made me ashamed? See#6.
