Grocery Shopping Results This Week

by Momma · 1 comment

This week, I did Kroger without The List (gasp!) because I had to shop before it was up. But, I still did ok.

Publix:

  • Full Price: $52.74
  • Saved: $38.06 (72%)
  • Paid: $14.68

CVS:

  • Full Price: $72.06
  • Saved: $60.80 (84%)
  • Paid: $11.26

Kroger:

  • Full Price: $82.84
  • Saved: $31.91 (39%)
  • Paid: $50.93

Aldi (needs shopping):

  • Full Price: $42.51

Publix:

  • 6 loaves of Sara Lee bread – FREE with 6 coupons
  • 4 Helluva Good Sour Cream Dip – On sale 2/$3 with 4 coupons for $.50 off one, doubled to $1 – End Price $.50 per container
  • 2 Boxes Cheerios – On Sale $1.99 with $1 off coupons – End Price $.99 per box
  • 1 box Publix Tissues – Weekly Mystery $.01 coupon. I got it for a penny!

CVS:

  • 6 Sunsilk Styling Products – On Sale BOGO $4.29, minus $1.50 coupon for each – End Price $.65 each
  • 1 CVS Mouthwash – $2.49, minus Cash Register Coupon for 1 free bottle.

ECB Totals:

  • Spent: $14.00
  • Earned: $0.00 (OH NOS! I am starting over on ECBs)

CVS Coupons Printed:

  • None… ACK!

I’m not particularly happy with my percentages at Kroger, or at having to do needs shopping at Aldi, but I also haven’t been playing The Grocery Game as aggressively as I should be. Just exactly how spoiled does one have to be to whine about ONLY saving 39% on their grocery bill? The good news is that I’m still more than $40 under budget for the week.

How’d you do this week?

I am doing really well with shopping at CVS and getting my oop really low with using ecbs and coupons. I am not good at all with couponing at the grocery store. I have no idea what to do. I just get overwhelmed with all of my coupons and the store. Any tips on how you get your grocery oop so low?
