One Hour With Teri Gault – Part Six

by Momma · 0 comments

This is the 6th part in my series “One Hour With Teri Gault”, the result of a fantastic telephone interview with Teri, the founder and CEO of The Grocery Game and TeriToday.com.

Disclaimer: Please note that I did not use a voice recorder for this conversation, so all of the answers are paraphrased from memory and very detailed notes, not direct quotes.

If you could share one tip with my readers (aside from using The Grocery Game, of course) for shopping, what would it be?

The one tip I would share is to definitely ALWAYS use coupons and sales to stockpile. Don’t shop from the sales papers only and plan your week around it. The weekly sales are not enough to save you significant money on your grocery bills over time.

Teri actually shared several other tips, and since she shared them with me, I didn’t think it was very fair to just share one and keep the rest for myself.

Teri’s Other Tips:

  • Coupons are here to stay, and they are more important than ever. They’re like free cash in your pocket. Don’t throw cash away by paying full price.
  • Throw away the stigma that coupons are only for junk food, they aren’t. More and more coupons are printed every week for meats, vegetables, healthy foods, organics, and household cleaning products.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Thanks Teri!

What are your favorite frugal shopping tips?
