BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
I promised an entry on Saturday about Mark and his broken hand. The weekend got away from me and so that promised entry has been delayed just a teeny bit!
BIG TOUGH GUYS & LITTLE TOUGH GUYS
Last weekend was our visitation weekend with YM10, Mark’s son. Much of the weekend was spent with yelling, jumping, sneak attacks, and full on wrestling matches. Saturday evening, Mark and YM10 were wrestling in the middle of the living room floor when YM10 launched himself into some sort of karate kick which Mark (oh so wisely) blocked with his hand.
Mark let out a yell and clutched his hand and fell to the floor. YM10 looked like he was ready to cry. When all was said and done, Mark was at the ER with a broken hand and finger. YM10 was crying miserably that he’d injured his dad, and Mark was all puffed up with pride that his son had grown strong enough to break his hand. (Am I the only one confused by that?)
BIG TOUGH GUYS AND CO-PAYS
Nobody warned me that I needed additional savings to deal with my tough guys and medical co-pays! So far we’re in $100 for the ER co-pay, $35 for the Orthopedist, $10 for the pain pills, $35 for the Physical Therapist, another $35 for the Ortho again this Thursday and likely another $35 for the Physical Therapist again.
Seriously, just start doubling your medical savings account the minute you see that it’s a boy on the ultrasound. You’re going to need it before they hit puberty.
