My New Favorite Firefox Plugin

by Momma · 2 comments

I am not the most technology savvy person on the planet. My favorite video game is still Diablo II (that’s what… 10 years old??) and I don’t do gadgets very often. Couple that with the fact that I HATE to shop, and buying hard to find items has become a giant pain. But, once in a while, I find one that makes my life easier.

With the holidays coming up, I’ve been searching all over for a Wii for the big family gift. I can’t believe that they are STILL this hard to find without paying insane prices for them. Searching for what I need online has been an exercise in frustration. Yesterday, though, Mark sent me the link to a plugin for Firefox that has made shopping easier for me, all the way around.

I can’t say that it makes me want to shop more, but it makes my life easier. Now, when I search for something that I’m shopping for in Google, the BuyLater application automatically searches for those items for sale and provides me with not only the results, but the prices too. I found out that the application is still new and focuses primarily on items available through Amazon, and will be doing Ebay soon too, but they’re adding other companies and sources as they grow.

Hmmm… Who knows… maybe I’ll learn to like online shopping afterall!

Do you have a favorite firefox plugin? What makes your internet searches and shopping easier?

I loved Diablo 2. Talk about frugal entertainment. Nothing beats killing cows for hours and hours and then selling the weapons you find on eBay. Can’t wait for Diablo 3 next year!
