Saint Patrick’s Day!!!
St. Pat’s Atlanta – 2009 St. Patrick’s Day parade – March 14th at 12:00 Noon – According to their website, this is the 127th Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 151 years. Guess that means there are some years we missed, but we’re not missing this year. The website boasts “over 200 units, including floats, bands of every kind, military units, Bagpipe & Drum Corps, thousands of children (OUR REASON FOR CELEBRATING), Irish dancers, clowns, high tech firefighting equipment, police units, drill teams, dogs, horses, antique cars, dignitaries from Ireland, and our own Government leaders.”
The Parade Route starts at Peachtree Street @ Ralph McGill and ends at Underground Atlanta. Check out the website though, because they have a LOT more going on than just the parade, spanning multiple days.
