@Danielle – That’s really not a bad idea at all. Since I use the debit card for everything except for paying the children, I’d have to figure out an electronic version of that one.

My mom does the “save all your singles” plan for her holiday shopping. Simply put, you don’t spend any dollar bills for a year. Pay with a fiver or greater denomination. This plan also helps keep you from making lots of frivolous small purchases.
I wish I could do the same, but being unemployed, every dollar counts for me right now.

Christmas is very expensive, I found out about a phone application that could help save you money, I wrote about it on my blog and I got it from Wise Bread. It might make Christmas a little less costly for you.
