First of all, thanks for clicking the link to find out a little more about me.   It means a lot to me that I’ve said something interesting (or obnoxious) enough that you wanted to see who this chick is.

Here’s a little bit of my story:

Here’s the story of a lovely lady,
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.
All of them had hair of gold, like their mother,
The youngest one in curls.

……. oh wait… Actually, I don’t have blonde hair.  It’s more reddish brown… but the girls are lovely

Who was busy with three boys two daughters and a son of his own…

Does it sound like you’ve heard this story before?  Well, you probably haven’t. My wonderful husband had 2 teenaged daughters and a fabulous little boy when we met.  They don’t live with us, but I adore them just the same as my own.

I started this blog to write about the things I’m learning along the way about personal finance for non-traditional family types, but it’s grown into so much more for me.  It’s a place where I learned that I have a knack for helping people learn about their own money… a place where I learned that I have a passion for finance and a desire to follow this as a career path.
